I've hunted around for a good zinc formulation and I love that this BioCeuticals blend has vitamin A, B6 and a good dose of zinc all so important for skin and healing. This zinc is best taken at night before bed away from other supplements like iron or calcium for optimal absorption. Sometimes zinc can make you feel nauseous so taking it before bed or after food is a good idea.
I recommend taking a total dosage of 1mg of equivalent zinc / 1kg of body weight i.e. if you're 50kg then you'd need 50mg of equivalent zinc (that's 2 tablets of this formulation Bio Zinc from Blackmores). This dosing of zinc is recommended short term, please check other supplements for other sources of zinc as well or discuss your supplement regime with your healthcare professional.
